SDBIC Seeks Administrative Assistant/Compliance Officer

Title:  Administrative Assistant/Compliance Officer

Reports to:  Executive Director and SDBIC Board of Directors

Under the direction of the Executive Director, the administrative assistant/private treaty compliance officer will be responsible for general administrative duties, activities and the management of the Beef Checkoff private treaty compliance. 

 

Responsibilities

The following list represents major responsibilities required but not necessarily limited to a person in this position:

  • Handle general daily administrative duties for the office such as assist with program mailings and requests 
  • Manage Beef Checkoff private treaty compliance program by utilizing all available compliance sources and maintaining compliance records on computer database
  • Establish private treaty compliance analysis and collection point reviews
  • Update collection point database and identify new collection points
  • Assist in planning and coordination of meetings and other events
  • Coordinate office and program activities and SDBIC calendar


Minimum Qualifications

  • Education/Experience
  1. Associates Degree or (equiv. yrs. of experience and education)
  2. Familiar with bookkeeping skills and office procedures
  3. Working Knowledge in Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
  1. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in verbal and written form
  2. Knowledge of the beef industry helpful
  3. Ability to work cooperatively and productively with staff and clients
  4. A team player, with a dedication to get the job done as per the mission of the South Dakota Beef Industry Council.
