PIERRE– Directors and staff of the South Dakota Beef Industry Council (SDBIC) invite the public to attend their upcoming meeting on December 9, 2019 at the Drifters Conference Center in Ft. Pierre, SD. Committee members will meet Monday morning prior to the full board of directors meeting with a 7:30 a.m. start time and a noon lunch.
The SDBIC board of directors meeting will begin at 12:30 p.m. Directors will hear updates from staff on current checkoff activities and programs, director reports from the recent USMEF Convention, and SDBIC committee reports.
All beef producers are welcome to attend SDBIC committee and board meetings and are asked to RSVP for lunch by Wednesday, December 4, 2019 to Executive Director, Suzy Geppert at 605-224-4722 or [email protected].

The Federation of State Beef Councils represents the 43 Qualified State Beef Councils. Collectively, the QSBCs include more than 700 state board members and these board members represent a wide range of industry organizations and every segment of the beef industry. The Federation is a division of the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association (NCBA), which is a contractor to the Beef Checkoff Program. The program is administered by the Cattlemen’s Beef Board, with oversight provided by the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
