Anderson Slated to Fill SDBIC Program and Events Coordinator Position

PIERRE, SD - The South Dakota Beef Industry Council (SDBIC) is pleased to welcome Merretta (Kahl) Anderson to the SDBIC team as the new Program and Events Coordinator.

 Anderson comes to the beef council from Isabel, SD where she lives on a 4th generation ranch with her husband Chance Anderson and 2 sons Gus (4) and Hank (3). She has spent 16 years in the field of education in South Dakota, working as a certified athletic trainer, teacher, coach and athletic director. Anderson holds a Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training from the University of Mary and a Master’s degree in Injury Prevention and Health Promotion from California University.   

“We are thrilled to have Merretta join our team,” said Suzy Geppert, Executive Director, SDBIC. “Her prior experience working with the Build Your Base with Beef program on behalf of Timber Lake school district and her current membership on Team Beef SD are extremely beneficial to this position. We are excited to have her work alongside the SDBIC team as we coordinate future programs and events!”   

Anderson will join the SDBIC team June 1, 2019 as a part-time position and will hold statewide duties.
